Benjamin C. Powell, MD

Benjamin C. Powell, MD is a vascular and endovascular surgeon. He specializes in the care of multiple conditions including blood vessel aneurysms throughout the body, carotid artery disease, and peripheral arterial disease (PAD). He has additional training in TransCarotid Artery Revascularization (TCAR), minimally invasive carotid stent placement.
He completed his undergraduate degrees in Biology and Mechanical Engineering at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Florida State University College of Medicine with his Medical Doctorate. He completed a surgical internship at University of Tennessee Chattanooga and residency in general surgery at Greenville Health System in Greenville, South Carolina. He went on to train in vascular and endovascular surgery at University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Dr. Powell is board certified in general surgery and board eligible for vascular surgery. He holds a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation certification and is experienced in vascular ultrasonography interpretation. Benjamin C.
