Jeffrey Hoggard, MD, FACP, FASN, FASDIN is an interventional nephrologist specializing in dialysis access management. Taking a minimally invasive approach, Dr. Hoggard performs a range of procedures, including stent placement, balloon angioplasty, thrombectomy and thrombolysis, to maintain and manage vascular accesses for dialysis patients.

Dr. Hoggard earned his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in nephrology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.

Dr. Hoggard co-authored numerous articles and is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Nephrology and the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology.

Dorian DeFreitas, MD is a board certified vascular surgeon specializing in dialysis access management and surgical access creation. He performs critical maintenance and management of vascular accesses for dialysis patients. Dr. DeFreitas treats patients at Raleigh Access Center, using the most up-to-date, minimally invasive techniques to help patients improve their quality of life.

Dr. DeFreitas earned his medical degree from the National University of Ireland, in Galway, Ireland. Dorian DeFreitas, MD went on to complete his residency in General Surgery at East Carolina University, in Greenville, North Carolina, followed by a fellowship in Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Surgery at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

Akhil Hegde, MD received an undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and is a graduate of the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.
