Peter Thomas Kennealey, MD

Peter Thomas Kennealey, MD is the Medical Director of the Azura Surgery Center Lowry. He is also the Surgical Director of the Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Programs at the University of Colorado Hospital.

Dr. Kennealey earned his medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Illinois. He completed his residency in general surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis, Indiana followed by fellowships in transplant surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts and surgical oncology research at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, New York.

Dr. Kennealey is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. Peter Kennealey, MD is a member of the American Society of Transplantation, International College of Surgeons, American Society of Transplant Surgeons, Massachusetts General Hospital Surgical Society, and American College of Surgeons.

Mark R. Nehler, MD

Vascular Surgeon

Mark R. Nehler, MD is a Professor of Vascular Surgery and the Director of Surgical Residency at The University of Colorado School of Medicine. As a vascular surgeon, Dr. Nehler specializes in dialysis access management, serving patients at Azura Surgery Center Lowry.

Dr. Nehler obtained his medical degree from Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon, where he also completed his internship and residency in general surgery. Subsequently, he pursued a fellowship in vascular surgery at the same institution.

Board-certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Vascular Surgery, Dr. Nehler’s expertise is widely recognized. Mark R. Nehler, MD is actively involved in professional organizations such as the Western Vascular Society, American College of Surgeons, Association of Program Directors in Surgery, and the American Association of Vascular Surgery.
